I love my celestion blue.
I had a ceramic blue pup and thought it was a very wimpy speaker very thin with poor bass response.
Ted weber speakers are built with tighter more concentric voice coil gaps and lower carbon machined steel parts in the magnet circuits which yield a stronger more controlled tone at all volumes particularly in the low end at high volumes.
I have a 2x10 cab with weber alnico s 1 blue pup 1 silver pup.
The vox blue is the celestion blue.

Replaced the stock th speaker made by weber very noticable difference.
Weber suggested this speaker and it made the change i needed.

The silver 10 is a much more robust speaker i have the alnico version currently with a vox ac4 and it blows the blue pup away imo.
It handles being cranked much better than the stock speaker did.

The weber blue dog and blue pup 10 version is a copy of the celestion blue dog.
That amp is based on a vox ac4 so the blue pup was a good match.
It is in my vox cambridge reverb.
So cj sutton over at weber recommended the ceramic blue pup for my laney cub 10.
I just put a 8 ceramic blue pup in my tophat prince royale.
Chime galore but not as chunky.
10 30oz ceramic magnet 1 1 4 voice coil ribbed cone.
The blue pup sounds really nice with the drri but i wouldn t necessarily say better than the c12k that is in the drri.
Just bought an ainico blue pup for my gibson goldtone les paul junior amp.
Least desireable amp with this cab is the ghia.
Awesome sounding cab with any every amp.
I realize that 8 it s going to be very hard to hear much of a discernible difference but the ainico magnet on the blue pup is huge compared to the stock gibby goldtone ceramic 8 speaker.
Great tone so far.

Hi guys i have for some convoluted reason both an alnico and a ceramic blue pup.
Only difference is the sticker.
Is this a worthwhile upgrade from the gibson goldtone ceramic weber speaker that it comes with.

I tested the two using my 1 guitar a gretsch hot rod with tv jones classic pickups.
Is low db so it does reduce volume works exceptionally well with the ray and germino club 40.
That speaker rated at 15 watts is very responsive and fat as hell.
